Rolland A. DessertRolly Dessert has over 42 years of professional experience in government, industry, and not-for-profit sectors.

A graduate of West Point, Rolly was commissioned in 1972 as a Second Lieutenant, and awarded a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in National Security and Public Affairs. He is a graduate of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies where he received a Master of Arts in International Relations; a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College, the Operational Art Studies Fellowship at the School of the Advanced Military Studies, and the Army War College.

Rolly served in the U.S. Army for over twenty-eight years. As an Armor officer, Rolly provided leadership to Soldiers from platoon to brigade-level command. Rolly also served as an Associate Professor of International Relations in the Department of Social Sciences at West Point and as special assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Army. After active duty, Rolly served as the Chief Executive of the Catholic Schools in Leavenworth, Kansas.

He served as a Senior Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton, managing programs in support of Training and Doctrine Command, the Combined Arms Center, and the Future Warfare Study.

Rolly is President & CEO of Design Associates International, assisting CEOs with challenges in strategy, operations, organization, systems and technology. He has a Project Management Professional (PMP™) certification from the Project Management Institute. Rolly is also a member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies, the Military Operations Research Society, and the Association of the United States Army.
